Winock is a holdings company incorporated in Nigeria to provide an ecosystem of sustainable services to micro-businesses through duly registered and licensed subsidiary companies.

Driven by the philosophy of Africapitalism, we combine ethical capital, market insight and operational excellence to develop and operate strategic services that are designed to uplift micro-businesses in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Solar ‘buy now pay later, launched in July 2019
It is well known that electricity access is a major problem in Nigeria, with over 46% having no access and relying primarily on petrol generators. Solar is a clear alternative, but market penetration is low due to a lack of awareness and the high upfront cost of purchasing solar components. We are solving this problem by providing micro-businesses with complete solar systems at minimal upfront cost
and up to 18 months instalment payment plan. We also provide free maintenance during the repayment period. Our service saves our customers at least 40% on electricity costs.
Productive use equipment finance, launched in September 2020
Access to productive use equipment is a major challenge for micro-businesses. We provide productive use equipment to our customers at an affordable rate and tenor. The equipment is given to the customer and payment is made over a maximum of 12 months tenor. The customer pays us from the cash generated from the use of the equipment.
Working capital finance, launched in January 2022
Working capital is difficult for micro-businesses to access, and those that provide capital to micro-businesses charge exorbitant interest rates. We are solving this problem by providing working capital loans to micro-businesses at below-average interest rates and a maximum of 12 months tenor.
Furthermore, we waive the collateral requirements for customers that need less than N300,000, to make our service more accessible to those that are most in need of it.
Other services
We intend to roll out additional services that are within our capacity and capability and are in line with our vision and mission. We are building a solid research department that is tasked with identifying and evaluating the commercial viability of solutions needed by micro-businesses. Our decision to venture into any service will be based on a solid business plan developed using the insight provided by the research team.
